About the project: Located in Greeley, Colorado: Leprino Foods Company has their newest and most state of the art facility to date. Beginning December 2016 just before the new year Leprino Foods started their north side phase, expanding their facility by more than double. Leprino Foods Company is the worlds largest producer of lactose, their facilities are nothing short of the highest quality. The new water treatment system was nothing short of their standards.

Our work: Strait Mechanical's performed work included the process stainless steel and carbon steel piping, as well as the PVC sanitary waste, domestic water and the natural gas piping. The project duration was 6 months as the north phase was erected. The project consisted of new PTS building serving a new digester tank, two new MBBR tanks, a new DAF float tank, two new solid holding tanks, and the accumulation of pumps that is necessary to operate the water treatment system.

Metro Wastewater Reclamation District
Metro Wastewater Reclamation District is the wastewater treatment authority for much of the metropolitan Denver and parts of northern Colorado, serving about 1.8 million people, and collecting 130 million gallons of waste water per day. The facility has a continuous demand for expansion and requires contractors that can meet the demand. Strait Mechanical has proudly contracted with the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District for a few projects and phases performing a variety of work.
Our work: Metro Wastewater Reclamation District project 1203, Strait Mechanical performed work on a HVAC remodel, this included new roof top units for each building. Also included within the scope was new hydronic systems, providing boilers and new heating and chilled water systems with pumps. Overall the required outcome was isolation for each building from the plant heat supply. This was achieved through the use of heat exchangers and hydronic systems.

Our work: Metro Wastewater Reclamation District project 1225, encompassed four new buildings including a new greaser processing plant, grit handling system, and a new heating and chilled water plant. Strait Mechanical's work preformed included the plumbing and HVAC systems. The plumbing systems included the domestic waste and vent, water heaters, and domestic hot and cold water. The work preformed for the HVAC systems included new boilers and heat exchangers, chilled and heating hydronic piping and roof drains in facilitation of the roof top units.

Highlighted Commercial Projects
Colorado State University
About the project: The new Colorado State University Stadium will be taking the place of Hughes Stadium which had previously been the Ram's home since 1968. Seating 41,000 the new stadium towers above the beautiful Colorado State campus and historic downtown Fort Collins. The new on campus stadium will host not only spectators eager to watch Rams football but will also contain class rooms, office space and conference centers.

Our work: The work performed by Strait Mechanical included both plumbing and heating systems on the eastern half of the stadium. The plumbing portion included sanitary waste and vent, domestic water, hot water and finish fixtures. With the use and need for a hydronic heating system Strait Mechanical provided baseboard heaters, VAV's and cabinet heating.

Located in Fort Collins, Colorado is Colorado State University home of the Rams. Strait Mechanical has partnered with CSU for various projects around their ever expanding campus, most current was work on the new Colorado State Stadium and existing Pathology Building.Strait Mechanical values its involvement with Colorado State University and appreciates taking part in the future of the university.
CSU Pathology Building
About the project: The Pathology Building At Colorado State University's main campus is located on the corner of Lake Street and East Drive, just west of College Avenue. The three story facility houses research laboratories and department administrative office personnel. Researchers located within the Pathologist Building study primarily autoimmune and immune mediated diseases. Because of the nature of the building the quality of work had high standards.

Our work: Strait Mechanical's work preformed included replacement of the hydronic systems. The work included replacement of the RO system and the reheat coils. The Steam and condensate systems were also replaced including the addition of a new air handling unit and the coinciding glycol and Chilled water piping. The renovation of Pathology Building at CSU took quality craftsmanship while careful coordination to function and fit with the existing conditions.
